Delegate Stake WAN with Desktop Light Wallet
We can use Dekstop Light Wallet, Mobile wallet or mywanwallet.io to delegate staking your wan. In this post, we will show you the steps by using the Desktop Light Wallet. To download Wanchain Desktop Light wallet, please go to (https://www.wanchain.org/getstarted/).
First time using
When you first open it, you will need to create a new account, and setup a password. Make sure that you keep your 12 words seed safe and backup somewhere. If you have forgotten your password, you can always recover your accounts by importing the seeds.
To import your keystore based address in Desktop Light wallet, you have to first create an account in Desktop Light Wallet, before you can import your keystore based address. The steps are as below:-
Developer -> assets -> wanchain -> import keystore
Steps to delegate staking, after login.
Step 1, click on Galaxy POS then Delegation in the left menu as shown in the picture below. At last, you click on "New Delegation" on the far right.
Step 2, Select the name of the validator from the Name's dropdown box under Validator's account as shown in the picture below. I selected validators.online. Under My account section, select our address and key in the amount we want to delegate staking then click Next.
Step 3, review all the info you have input in the previous step, before clicking send to confirm the transaction.
Step 4 (Last Step), after some time, the transaction should be confirmed. Then you should see your delegation info in your Desktop lite wallet as shown below. Congratulations! You have successfully delegate stake your $WAN, please sit back and see your balance keep growing until you stop staking.
Note: You won't be able to stake from the keystore based address, you will just need to transfer the funds to one of the seed-based addresses (Desktop Light wallet create seed-based address)
